Hey, Nice to have you here.
If you have adventure in your heart then this is the place for you. We share with you, epic locations to visit for the day and amazing places to stay. To include learnings from our life on the road as we vanlife around the UK in our 36-Year-old Talbot Express campervan, Old Gertie. We want this to be a valuable space to hopefully inspire others to explore the wilds of the UK, this little island has a lot to offer. Hopefully we can help you plan some lovely holidays/days out in the great outdoors across England, Scotland and Wales.

EXPLORING THE UK
Away from the crowds, along the coastline, lost in nature, breath taking views, then we have all the above and more. Nature isn’t to gate keep but it is to be respected. We share these spots knowing those who visit, will have the same ethos as us. Enjoy and let us know which ones are your fave!
NATURE & HIKING
Be it a stream, a waterfall, a forest or a mountain, there is nothing more special to us than being outside. It’s when we are at our happiest. So as you can imagine we have a gazillion walks/hike, star gazing spots, surf spots, overnight parking places, castles, ruins and soooo much more. Its overwhelming! We need to get it all out. If you love the outdoors as much as us then you are in for treat, we still can’t believe some of these places are in the UK, can you?
VANLIFE & CAMPING
Freedom of travel creates a life of adventure and in June 2023 we sold up all we owned and hit the road in our 1989 Talbot Express, Old Gertie. Vanlife is a whole way of alternative living and we share the ups, the downs, the tips as we go. We hope what we share inspires some, helps others and at the very least entertain the rest! Remember whatever you do, make sure you have fun. Life is meant to be an adventure!

EATING & COOKING
Done well. It doesn’t always need to be complicated. Flavours are the key. One pot meals, 30 minute healthy dinners and longer more indulgent dishes are what we plan to share. These are far from dinner party dishes but we can assure they are delicious and wont break the bank. Let us know if you try one, it would be cool to know how it turned out.
